About Ocean Society of India
The Ocean Society of India (OSI) is a professional society having life members all over the country with local chapters at Kochi, Chennai, Pune, Goa and Delhi. The society comprises of Scientists, Engineers, and Technologists from various academic institutions, research laboratories, scientific organizations, industries, and other related bodies.
The mission of OSI is to provide a forum for sharing the knowledge and experience of individuals, research institutions, and industrial organizations working in the broad area of Ocean Sciences, Engineering, Technology and allied fields. The motto of OSI is to inspire working professionals, researchers, students and to empower the community to conserve and sustainably use the oceans and its resources. The society promotes knowledge dissemination through educational programmes, awareness campaigns, ocean conservation, success stories and good practices. The registered office of OSI is at CMLRE, Kochi.
OSI welcomes the ocean community to join this vibrant professional society and contribute towards knowledge sharing, discussions and sustainable use of oceans and its resources.

The Ocean Society of India (OSI) invites applications for Biennial PhD Theses Awards instituted under different themes in Ocean Science and Technology.
